| Home|Back It is now thirty years since 'Mechanics of Structures' – Vol. I was first published. During this period, it has been accepted as the most standard text-book by the students of engineering for acquiring a clear grasp of the fundamental principles of the subject.
This Key contains 475 worked examples of all the numerical problems set as exercises at the end of each chapter in the text-book. The text of the question is also given alongside its solution to make the key self-contained. A good number of examples have been solved in SI Units along with MKS Units. A few examples are also illustrated with neat and clear diagrams. In 'Mechanics of Structures' - Vol. I, 380 fully solved examples are distributed throughout the text; and in addition, this present Key contains 475 solved problems. It is hoped that a critical study of all these 855 worked examples would help students in gaining sufficient knowledge and practice in tackling successfully any problem on the subject. It is hoped that this book will prove useful to the students reading for Degree and Diploma examinations of all the Universities of India and also to the candidates reading for the Associate Membership examinations conducted by the Institution of Engineers.
